Miles and I packed up some snacks, a stroller, toys and a blanket and headed to the park after school yesterday.  It was 70 and sunny, just perfect.  We went to the beautiful park that is on the way home from Peggy’s called Indian Boundary Park.  It is huge with ponds, ducks, a butterfly garden, small zoo (really random with goats, sheep, roosters, and chickens), lots of trees, grass and a great playgound.  So we sat in the grass and Miles did what he does best…pushed the stroller all over the place.  Then he came back to me and had a snack and kept pushing.  We went on the swing and saw the ducks.  It was a a great time.

(Miles is 13 months)

Some exciting news is that walking is starting become a reality for Miles.  He was been capable for a while and has taken a couple steps here and there.  Wednesday night I let go of his hands and he stood there in the living room thinking about what he should do…sit and crawl or walk.  So he walked maybe 6 steps away from us across the living room.  Caleb and I are holding our breath and he looks back at us after 6 steps smiling huge!  I can’t help it and start clapping and she starts clapping too which causes him to fall over.  It was so cute and now he is starting to walk more but when it comes down to it crawling is still his more reliable method of transportation.

This weekend we are finally getting sand to fill the sand box and getting Miles his passport.  Exciting stuff!

Enjoy the photos and got to flickr for more photos that you can download (since you can’t download from this website)  There is a link on the side of the blog that links you to my flickr account for pictures.
