So this weekend was actually in the 40’s and sunny! It was so refreshing to see the sun and be able to be outside. So Caleb and I got Miles bundled and packed all the stuff required to go out with a baby and headed out the nature preserve. The only problem was that it was so muddy from the melting snow that we couldn’t take the stroller on the paths. Instead we walked through the neighborhood and found Peterson Park. This is a park that is not too far from our home and we had never known about it. It was beautiful and quiet. The best part was the pond that had a rock garden with waterfall. Miles loved the ducks. He was so desperate to get on the snowy, muddy ground to “get” them. I had to hold on tights so he wouldn’t squirm away.
I think we will be visiting this park again to see the ducks in coming months. I only wish we could feed them…there is a no feeding the animals sign. (We saw about 10 deer run past us too…lots of wildlife in the park)
Anyway, enjoy the photos. (Miles is 11 months here. He is standing by himself but not walking yet. He has 2.5 teeth and the sweetest personality of any baby.)
