Miles has been growing and learning so much lately, so I thought I would share. He has become very musical in the past week. We gave him a xylophone for Christmas and he had no idea how to make it make noise. Then all of a sudden this week it is his favorite thing. He will sit and play if for 30 mins by himself, turning it over and playing it from all sides. He has also figured out how to play the recorder. We happen to have my mom’s childhood recorder from France. (he will be the 3rd generation to play it) We use it to entertain Miles while he is on the changing table. He has figured out that blowing into it make noise. He is so proud of himself when he does it.
He also understands the word “clap” now. It was already one of his favorite things to do but now when we say “clap” he claps. It is so fun to see him respond to a verbal cue.
He is enjoying books more now and will sit and look at them by himself for long periods of time. The photo is of Miles and Caleb before bedtime reading together. We are working on having story time before bed every night.
Miles is also standing on his own, not that often but when he has the desire to he can. Walking is not too far behind.
It is so much fun to see him grow and learn. He is such an amazing little person. His spirit is so sweet and good natured. He is a joy to have in our family.
More updates to come…
